Needles used for toymaking will be found in any sewing
box at
home, except for one special needle which will be necessary
for
sewing on the eyes. A 3" long darning needle will do
the job well
and it is thin enough to avoid tearing the fabric.
The tools required for toymaking are: an ordinary domestic
sewing machine, wire-cutting pliers, also a pair of small
round-nosed
pliers for bending wire, a bradawl—a useful tool to
help with
inserting glass eyes and also removing fur pile caught in
the seams
during machining—and finally a stuffing stick, obtainable
from
Messrs. Dryads of Leicester.
