I remember an excellent designer, a director of one of
the oldest
toy factories in this country and under whose guidance I
learned
the practical side of designing, taking as long as three
months to
finish a toy he was working on. But, believe me, at the
end the
toy was perfect in every detail. Still, for an ordinary
enthusiast,
a period of several months would be too long. Unless one
is
specially dedicated, such perfection is seldom necessary,
and one
would lose interest, get bored and give up toymaking never
to
return to it again. The latter would be a pity indeed, because
making toys is great fun!
