Page 15 - CUTTING OUT
Lay the patterns on the material. If the fabric you have
chosen has
a right and a wrong side, lay the patterns on the wrong
side and
mark round, making the second body piece with the pattern
turned
over (Diagram 8A). There is one important thing to remember,
never cut the body on a bias, because during the process
of
stuffing, it will pull out of shape. Cut out. The total
number of
pieces should be ten in all. If the gussets are made in
two pieces
each, due to the shortage of material, this will increase
the number
of pieces to twelve. Add on ^' (0-5 cm) to each of the "cuts"
on the
gussets, otherwise the overall length will be shortened
by Y (1 cm)
and it will .not fit round the body.
