Doll Maker
Making the Head and Face
To make the dolls face and head the doll
maker must first cut off the head at the top of the pattern
(see Diagram
2) and work on the face. A rounded forehead and cheeks
on a large head is generally considered attractive. To achieve
this, the doll maker should copy the shape of the head onto
a thin card and at the straight line of the"cut"
extend downwards like a point of an egg. Now draw a 0.5cm
outside this line all the way around (see dotted line).
