Turn the head end of the pin into the open end of the ribbon. Ease it carefully through the tie, at the same time pulling the end of the ribbon you are working from. When the ribbon is right side out, remove the pin, press the ribbon and hem across the open ends. If you are using a thick fabric, it is advisable to cut the ribbon pieces approximately 1.5 cm (1^ in) wider, in order to be able to turn them right side out easily.
