IRON-ON

It is advisable to attach iron-on interfacing to the collar, to prevent the fabric from stretching. For a finished collar depth of 2.5 cm (1 in), cut the inter- facing 2.5 (1 in) wide and the length of your collar piece minus the seam allowances. Press to the wrong side of the collar (9a). With right sides together, pin and tack the edge of the collar nearest to the interfacing to the neck edge. Machine, leaving a 1.75 cm ( in) seam allowance (9a).
