Buying clothes for children can be a constant problem as they grow so quickly and their clothes are very expensive. However, you do not need a great deal of dressmaking experience to make your own children's clothes and, as well as being more economical, making children's clothes can be a lot of fun and not too time-consuming. The dressmaking projects in this book have been designed to form the basis of a complete wardrobe for boys and girls between the ages of five and nine. A number of the designs are unisex, and ideas are given for adapting other styles for boys or girls.
