CONTRAST BINDING

Contrast binding can also be added to the sleeves to lengthen them. Cut crossways binding strips the width of the sleeves, adding on a seam allowance. Sew in place. Another way to make sleeves longer is to inset crossways strips in a contrasting material into the sleeves. Cut through the sleeves above or below the elbow and open the side seams. Tack and machine the strips to both edges. Rejoin the side seams.
