There are two basic ways to attach a loop to a garment. The first method is when the loop projects from the finished seam of a pattern piece and a facing. First tack the loop in place on the edge of the main piece (la). Place the facing over the loop and the main piece, and tack and machine along the edge through all thicknesses (Ib). When the facing is turned to the wrong side, the loop will project from the finished seam (Ic).
