Lace Cap - Attaching the Trimming

1. Turn the cap right side out through one of the diagonal openings, and press it flat.

2. Center the beaded lace along the folded front edge of the cap, aligning the inner corners of the scallops with the fold so the tips of the scallops extend beyond it, and pin the lace in place.

3. Trim the ends of the lace so they extend only 1/4" (6-mm) beyond the sides of the cap.

4. Turn the ends of the lace under, even with the edge of the cap. Attach the lace to the cap with fine running stitches around all four edges of the lace, hiding the stitches in the lace as much as possible.

5. Cut a 14” (35.6-cm) strip of the lace beading, center it along the back edge of the cap, and pin it in place. Trim the ends ¼” (6 mm) beyond the edge of the cap. Attach the long edges of the beading to the cap with fine running stitches.
