LEFT SIDE
Using 3mm needles and Cl, cast on 49 (51, 55) sts.
Work 17 rows in rib as for lower band of Jumper Back.
18th Row: Rib 6 (4, 4) sts, K into front and back of every st until 6 (4,
4) sts rem, rib to end. 86 (94, 102) sts. Change to 3.75mm needles and M.
Work in stocking st until 26 (28, 31)cm from cast-on, ending with a
purl row. Cast off 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cont in stocking st, dec 1 st each
end of 3rd row, then every foil 4th row until 74 (82, 90) sts rem.
Cont without shaping until 43 (46, 52)cm from cast-on, ending with a
purl row.

Shape Back Waist:

Next Row: K37 (41, 45), turn.
Next Row: Purl to end.
Next Row: K28 (31, 34), turn.
Next Row: Purl to end.
Next Row: K19 (21, 23), turn.
Next Row: Purl to end.
Next Row: K10 (11, 12), turn.
Next Row: Purl to end.
Next Row: K3 (5, 2), * K2 tog, K9
(5, 5), rep from * to last 5 (7, 4) sts,
K2 tog, knit to end.
67 (71, 77) sts.
Break yarn. Leave sts on a stitch holder.

RIGHT SIDE

Work as for Left Side to ***, ending with a knit row. Shape Back Waist as for Left Side, working knit in place of purl, and purl in place of knit.

WAISTBAND

Backstitch centre front and centre back shaped seams. With right side facing, using 3mm circular needle and Cl with 1 thread of knitting-in elastic, knit across sts on Right Side, then across sts on Left Side holder.
134 (142, 154) sts. Next Round: * Kl tbi, PI, rep from * to end.
Rep this round 15 more times. Cast off loosely in rib.

TO MAKE UP:

Backstitch inner leg seams.
Embroider lower right leg as
for Jumper.
